A mobile app for discovering local street food — built with React Native, currently in development and testing on Android.
Street Eats is a personal mobile app project — a way to discover local street food in Trinidad and Tobago. The idea came from a simple gap: there's no good way to find out where the doubles man is today, or which roti shop is open late on a Friday.
What's being built
The app is built with React Native and TypeScript, targeting Android first. The core flow lets users browse nearby street food vendors, see what they're selling, and get directions.
Status
Currently in development and testing. The stack is locked in; the focus right now is on getting the core vendor discovery experience working before adding any social or review features.
